The results of a recent employment outlook survey have revealed the most positive findings since 2008. Out of the 2,000 UK employers that were questioned, more than 3% disclosed that they are looking to take on new staff in the final months of 2012.
Combined with a promising third quarter that has just been witnessed, the survey indicates that the UK jobs market is firmly in positive territory. Despite being met with some scepticism thanks to disappointing GDP figures, official employment statistics do in fact confirm that the market is heading in the right direction.
Finance and business services look set to embark on the biggest recruitment drive over the next few months with a 9% outlook. This is closely followed by the manufacturing and utilities sectors which are predicting an outlook of 5%.
With over 300,000 new jobs already created this year and a further boost predicted for the remaining few months, 2012 has been a great year for employment. As a recruiter do you think that the UK job market is finally starting to improve? Let us know your thoughts below.
