Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a management accountant

The company: A growing, profitable family run business based in High Wycombe which has been established for over 25 years and generating revenues in excess of £30 million pa. The company is the market leader in its niche sector which involves distribution, installation, import and logistics.

The role: Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created role represents an excellent opportunity of career progression for the right candidate. This is a number 2 position and you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations in finance. Duties will include managing and mentoring a team of 2 whilst supporting the finance team and ensuring the smooth running of key financial processes including payroll, treasury activities, purchase ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, VAT returns and year end.
Recommend and improve current systems, procedures and controls whilst assisting the Finance Director with management accounts production.

The candidate: Will be a graduate, newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with several years of accounting experience, ideally from a manufacturing, multi-site or supply chain environment. A pro-active individual, resilient, organised and comfortable leading from the front, taking early responsibility. Continuously adding value by recommending and implementing improvements, whilst working closely with the FD to provide an outstanding finance operation across the business. Ability to build strong working relationships and to work well under your own initiative. A problem solver, with excellent communication and analysis skills. Strong attention to detail, numerical with good Excel skills (look up functions, pivot tables). Experience in using an ERP system useful.
