Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a finance manager/controller
The company:- is a small but highly successful business that develops and manufactures test equipment for various industries around the world. They are at the forefront of research, development and design and generate UK revenues at over £10m. The company is driving through significant growth plans over the next few years and this new role reflects its continual success. They have been established for over 20 years and supply their products to a global customer base.
The role:- reports to the Head of Finance and the successful person will be comfortable working in a small team of 3 from home and the office as required. The finance manager/controller will assume immediate responsibility for the day to day financial operations of the business. Preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts pack, providing insightful explanations of material deviations from budgets, forecasts and historical trends. Balance sheet reconciliations including commentary and relevant comparatives, Fixed asset management and CAPEX reporting, Preparation and delivery of the annual statutory audits, including full interaction with the external audit team. Weekly sales reporting and other day to day transactional tasks as required incl:-credit cards and employee expenses, cash flow reviews, foreign currency and supporting the budgeting process
The person:- will be a graduate, finalist, qualified ACCA/CIMA or a Finance Manager with several years experience ideally from a corporate, manufacturing, or research and development background. A well presented, confident and outgoing individual, comfortable challenging how things are done and making recommendations for improvements. Excellent communication skills are important as is good all round Excel skills. A forward thinking individual, comfortable getting involved with good analytical skills, prioritises their workload and uses initiative and drive to achieve results.
