Financial Controller

Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Financial Controller.

The company: Provide educational programmes, welfare and safety activities to a varied and diverse portfolio of clients, working closely with a number of high profile UK and international organisations.

The role: Reports to the Commercial and Finance director and manages a team of 2.You will
assume immediate responsibility for the day to day operations of the business.
Monitor all income & expenditure, Budgets and Forecasts and provide appropriate variance analysis. Month, quarterly, Year-end and Statutory accounting acting as principal point of contact for Auditors and other 3rd parties on planning, investment and valuations.
Submit all VAT and other HMRC requirements in a timely fashion, Treasury and investment activities ensuring all fees charged are consistent with underlying contracts and agreements and ensure that an appropriate risk management framework is in place and operational within the Finance Department.

The person: Qualified ACCA/AC/CIMA with at least 5 years previous experience in a similar role. The role offers flexible working conditions. Well presented, confident and out going, a proactive individual with excellent accounting, financial, analytical, reporting and numerical skills.
Comfortable implementing new processes and controls to ensure an outstanding financial operation is achieved. Manage and mentor a small team to achieve their goals and targets whilst actively supporting the finance director in the development of the finance department.
A resourceful individual, with excellent communication skills comfortable liaising with Bankers, Solicitors, Investment Managers, Property and Other Advisors.
Advanced IT skills, incl. MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
