Chorlis Consulting have instructions to recruit a financial controller.
The company:- is a global hospitality management and real estate group, with over 100 property sites based all over the world. The company is headquartered in London. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a FTSE 250 company.
The role:- Is responsible for the entire day to day financial operations and welfare of the business. Preparing all records and financial statements on a timely basis in accordance with Group instructions and report actual results as compared with the forecasted/budgeted results. Providing in depth financial analysis and commentary to support the decision making process, highlighting meaningful variations in performance and accurately forecast costs and revenues. Ensure accurate billing is achieved and recognition of income is accurately recorded. Develop the Inventory and stock processes and implement best practice controls to ensure a smooth flow of information is made available and reported to board level in a timely fashion. Preparation of the companies final year end accounts, incl:- VAT payments, Payroll and Pension, monthly balance sheet reconciliations,local Tax and statutory requirements is achieved.
The person:- A graduate qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 5 years previous Financial control experience with a multi site Hotel, Construction or Property group background. Responsible for a finance team of 10 or more, managing and mentoring team members to achieve their goals and targets. A confident, outgoing individual, comfortable challenging 'how things are done' and take early responsibility and lead from the front. A strong analyst, an eye for detail, strong IT skills, excellent team building experience, managing internal and external customer relationships and expectations.
