Financial Controller

Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Commercial Controller.

The company:- Is a global manufacturing business with a t/o well in access of £1b. With operations all over the world, this is a new role for a commercial controller to make their own.

The role:- Is to assist the Head of Finance exercise financial control over the organisatons in Europe and UK. Your duties will be to assist with the production of financial statements and management accounts for both areas of the business.
Key areas are Banks:- ensuring bank accounts are reconciled to SAP, queries are resolved and all cash transactions are accounted for correctly. To prepare cash forecasts for submission to group, maintain domestic cash balances and reconcile inter company loan accounts.
Balance Sheets:- Maintain the balance sheet accounts and ensure that clear reconciliations are available to the Head of Finance ensuring month end deadlines are met. Prepare subsidiary accounts accruals and prepayments to month end closing and reporting.

Period End Reporting:- Prepare SAP & Cognos monthly and quarterly reporting. Agree monthly inter-co balances. Prepare UK consolidated and Cost centre reports and subsequent investigation of variances. Cash flow forecasts, credit management, Create and set up cost centres and control master data, Prepare LE submissions and annual budget in conjunction with the Commercial Managers, ensuring completeness and accuracy of figures. Assist the Commercial Department with use of RMQS system for contract management and review performance of contracts actuals versus forecasted.

Year End Close:- Close year end in accordance with Group timetable.

The person:- Graduate, qualified ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 -5 years previous experience in a finance managers role. This is a stand alone role and will require a high degree of flexibility working with the Head of Finance on ad hoc projects prioritising your workload.
Comfortable working independently and autonomously you will need to be a self starter with a 'can do' problem solve attitude. Interpret and analyse data whilst, planning and organising your work .A questioning mindset, thinking on your feet, adding value and problem solving issues as they arise
