Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Finance Business Partner.

The Company: Is a well established FMCG business, with a growing customer base operating from over 200 sites in the UK. The company employ over 3000 and generate revenues in access of £25m. Founded over 50 years ago the company are enjoying an exciting growth phase and are recruiting a new role to support the increase in business demands.

The role: reports to the FD and works closely with regional operations to provide critical
and accurate financial analysis to support the business decision making process.
Manage financial reporting cycles and controls, forecasting and planning. The role is broad and will require significant buying and merchandising skills and experience to understand business trends and provide relevant analysis to assist regional managers. Develop and promote financial awareness across functions - proactively understands how the buying and merchandising effects business operations and the impact of financial decisions on other functions.
In addition to month end responsibilities there will be Business reviews, Quarterly Forecasts and the annual Plan. Review of all P&L lines from sales to profit, to highlight risks and opportunities to Senior Management, to "add value" to the numbers and create value for the business through the enhancement of revenue and costs.There will be ad hoc requests from Senior Management for strategic information.

The person: Graduate, qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA with (pqe 3+years) with commercial experience at a senior level ideally form a large multi site retail/fmcg background. A pro active, work independently approach, comfortable working with different teams across the business with a strong understanding and background in buying and general merchandising. The role requires significant matrix management so good influencing and communication skills at all levels are essential, as the role requires information and co-operation from many sources.
